A customer who is on blood thinners would like to take TF Cardio, but is concerned
about the Potassium Citrate in this product. As per his doctor, he is not allowed
to consume green foods due to their vitamin K content. Is Potassium Citrate
the same thing as Vitamin K?

To Arlene, Greetings!
Your question about the use of TF Cardio by individuals on blood thinners is
not only a very good one, but also a very important one for every body. It is
also a smart one to ask if you are contemplating taking the product.
Although all the herbal ingredients in TF Cardio have some important health
benefits for the cardiovascular system, and are added for synergistic and improved
effectiveness, some people should take TF Cardio with great caution, and certain
individuals should probably not take the product at all.
Gingko Biloba: has anti-thrombin action. It will be a potential cause of problem
for individuals on blood thinners, such as coumadin, warfarin, and Aspirin;
people with bleeding disorders such as hemophiliacs; individuals at risk for
hemorrhagic stroke, smokers, and users of cocaine and amphetamines.
Four percent of users have minor gastrointestinal problems.
Garlic: has anti-clotting property. A potential source of risk for individuals
taking blood thinning medications or who have bleeding problems. Other side
effects include upset stomach, heartburn, and other intestinal problems.
Butcher’s Broom: May aggravate symptoms in people with stomach problems.
Hawthorn: Can markedly increase the effects of digitalis, prescription heart
drugs and other herbs with actions on the heart.
Red Rice Yeast Extract: has similar action as the prescription cholesterol-lowering
drug Mevacor, and should not be taken with Niacin, erythromycin, cyclosporin,
and other statin drugs. It should not be taken by pregnant or nursing women,
and individuals with severe liver or kidney disease.
I hope the above information indirectly answers your question and is of help
to you.
